Denisse's Blueberry Yogurt Bowl for Busy Parents
Parenting doesn’t come with a manual, but if it did, it might look a lot like Kaleni & You. Founded by Denisse and her childhood friend, Omkala, Kaleni & You blends the warmth of personal experience with the depth of professional expertise. Denisse and Omkala believe that family care goes beyond addressing a child’s needs but instead should focus on enhancing the entire family dynamic, offering trust and reliability to all members.
Their shared vision is deeply rooted in their South American culture, where family orientation and caring for one another are paramount. They share how “over the years, being in close contact with families, we have seen firsthand the trials and triumphs of parenting”. “It was these moments that inspired us to join together with a clear mission: to educate, guide, and equip parents and caregivers with the knowledge and tools needed to nurture and support their parenting journey”.
Kaleni & You is a comprehensive resource for families navigating the complex journey of parenthood. The platform provides a wide range of resources, including thoughtfully crafted guides, expert led blogs, and heartfelt advice, all designed to support parents at every stage of their journey. Whether you’re introducing your baby to solid foods, creating a sensory rich environment, or seeking strategies for better sleep, Kaleni & You has you covered.
Denisse’s expertise in Early Years education blends seamlessly with her belief in functional medicine and natural living, creating a foundation that honours holistic care, while Omkala’s background in Psychology and Sleep Consultancy ensures every family’s emotional wellbeing is considered.
Raised in the UK with strong Hispanic roots, Denisse’s career has taken her across the globe, working with ultra high net worth individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. Yet despite her impressive résumé, Denisse’s heart remains rooted in the belief that every family deserves care that is personal, nurturing, and empowering.
Denisse’s nurturing spirit is also deeply personal. Two years ago, while living in the Bahamas, she was diagnosed with endometriosis. “It was during lockdown, and at the time, I didn’t know what was going on,” she recalls. Multiple doctor visits yielded few answers, until a gynaecologist suspected endometriosis. The diagnosis led to two surgeries, the second to remove a 9cm ovarian cyst. “By that point, I was tired of medication and not getting any answers.”
Left to navigate her recovery largely on her own, Denisse turned to research and began exploring biohacking and holistic health. “Post surgery was horrendous for me, with no one to guide me on what to eat or how to heal my body,” she says. Her determination led her to a functional medicine practitioner who provided the support she needed. She shares how “Two years later I’m much better than I ever was, and although I do have a long road ahead of me, I’ve learnt so much about food and its healing properties that I am more confident than ever! I hardly get pains anymore, I exercise, I keep my body moving and I nourish it the best way I know!”.
Denisse’s discovery of Organised was a natural extension of her journey into nutrient dense living. “A friend introduced me to the brand, and I was amazed,” she says. “I know how hard it is to find a great product in the UK with all the great ingredients” and she was impressed to find that “Organised has everything in one”. Furthermore, she shares how “As someone who travels a lot for work and works with kids, I need something I can prepare in less than five minutes (if you have kids you know what she means).
